Yvonne offers over twenty-two years of experience in providing diverse services to private & public entities as well as leading teams in all aspects of business development, marketing, advertising, public relations, economic development, public outreach and much more. Her earlier professional years saw her leave the Washington DC market as a senior executive for the one of the largest advertising agencies in the US with Account Management responsibilities for clients such as Mobil Oil, Roy Rogers, Volkswagen and the Washington Redskins.

 

At Garth Solutions, her focus has been to lead her talented Garth Solutions, Inc. (GSI) team in their efforts to deliver impactful strategic solutions for their clients and key stakeholders. Yvonne and her team have helped their clients award over $400 million in contracting opportunities for small, diverse firms on multi-million dollar construction and other related projects such as the New Meadowlands Stadium in NY, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Broward County, the Nemours Pediatric Hospital in Orlando, Fla. and several more.

Today, Yvonne is the executive leader for Garth Solutions projects and services, with oversight of all key accounts to include GSI’s role on the $4 billion SoLe Mia Development project, Broward County Schools SMART Program and the FLL Airport New Runway & Terminal Expansion Program.

Yvonne’s commitment to community is evidenced in her public service as a former elected official, Commissioner and Vice Mayor for the City of Miramar, one of the largest cities in southern Florida. She has also served as Chair and Board Member for the Broward County Small Business Advisory Board and as Board Member to the Miramar Cultural Arts Trust. Yvonne is the ultimate and consistently proven advocate for the communities in which she works, earning her the distinction of being named one of DiversityPlus Magazine’s “Women of Power” in 2009.

More recently, Yvonne was recognized as one of South Florida’s top business leaders by Legacy South Florida Magazine, which was celebrating 10 Years of success by listing the 50 Most Powerful Black Professionals in Business and Industry.

Yvonne holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Maryland’s School of Journalism and is a Certified Charrette Planner with the National Charrette Institute.
